June 29 through July 2nd 2017 were very important dates for wine makers around the world. During this time 58 highly experienced and qualified judges came together at the Hotel Nikko in SanFrancisco to evaluate and analyze thousands of wines from wineries all over the globe.
The judges at the 2017 San Francisco International Wine Competition (SFIWC) had their work cut out for them. They were tasked with the overwhelming task of selecting and awarding the best wines in the world.
This year the SFIWC received over 4300 wines from hopeful wineries and winemakers from around the world. The wines that were submitted came from over 30 countries, making this a true international event.
The good news is that the wait is over. The winning wines have finally been announced and awarded. The results have been published and the winners notified.
All of us at Blue Valley Vineyard and Winery are proud to announce that among the over 4300 wine submissions, we have received a total of 5 medals for our wines. Our winning wines are as follows:
- Silver Medal – 2014 Memories – White Blend Wine
- Silver Medal – 2014 Celebration – Premium Red Blend Wine
- Silver Medal – 2015 Petit Verdot
- Bronze Medal – 2015 Sauvignon Blanc – Estate Wine
- Bronze Medal – 2016 Sauvignon Blanc – Estate Wine
